“On July 19, 2022, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Jonathan Guadalupe Almanza (‘Almanza’) was convicted of violating 18 U.S.C. 554(a). Specifically, Almanza was convicted of smuggling one Glock 17 GEN5 pistol with three magazines, one Stoeger 9mm STR-9 pistol with one magazine, and one Springfield 9mm Hellcat pistol with two magazines without a license or written approval from the United States Department of Commerce. As a result of his conviction, the Court sentenced Almanza to 38 months of imprisonment, three years of supervised release, and $100 assessment.”
