“On November 13, 2019, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Behzad Pourghannad (`Pourghannad’) was convicted of violating the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (50 U.S.C. 1701, et seq.) (‘IEEPA’). Specifically, Pourghannad was convicted of IEEPA by conspiring to unlawfully export carbon fiber from the United States to Iran without having first obtained the required U.S. Government authorization.”
